Announcing a New Special Class Program!

The Child Development Center of the Hamptons Charter School is opening a new special k -1st grade class! It will provide forensic support in academic areas to students who will be assigned to typical classes for the remainder of their day. After intensive instruction in ela, math and/or other academic areas occur in a small group or 1:1 process, students will continue to be integrated with their typically developing peers to the maximum extent appropriate for the individual students needs.

This class is scheduled to open Spring 2010!

The Charter School is located in Easthampton, New York and has been serving students in an inclusionary setting for 10 years.

A Charter School is a Public School Option that parents may choose, whether your child is “at risk”, their needs are not being met, they are already in an inclusion “type” setting or your child has an Individual Education Plan, at CDCH Charter School all your child's needs and services can be met.

If your child has an Individual Education Plan and you live within a 50 mile radius, your child can be bused to the Charter School at no cost to you.

There is so much opportunity for growth, because at the Charter School each child's needs are met individually providing a specific individualized plan. The Charter School does not offer a “cookie cutter” approach and instead can think and work outside of the box to ensure that all of the students are successful. This school specializes in inclusionary learning, differentiated instruction - modifications to assist all learners, small class sizes, Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, an Interdisciplinary approach (Speech therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist), and are a full evaluation center.
